-Description

The Classique collection is inspired by the Breguet's early creations.

The watches in the Classique collection have all the elements that characterise Breguet.

The guilloché engraving on the dial, the coin-edged engrave on the sides of the case and the Breguet hands are the essence of the Breguet watch.

In addition to its beautiful round form, the watch combines artistry and functionality with a simple, lean sophistication, legibility and high functionality.

Perpetual calendar is a very popular complication in luxury watchmaking that automatically displays the correct time and date until 2100, when there will be no leap year in the Gregorian calendar.

Breguet's perpetual calendar dates back some 50 years.

In the 1970s, Breguet was part of the French jeweller Chaumet, which was undergoing a revival.

The perpetual calendar watch was one of the watches created by Daniel Roth, a watchmaker who worked for Breguet at that time.

This Ref 3310 was created in 1986, just before Roth left Breguet, and was produced until around 2000.

According to documents, only 2-3 pieces were produced per year, as it took 30 craftsmen to make one Perpetual Calendar.

The case is made of 18K yellow gold.

The 36mm case diameter is rather large for a dress watch of this period, but small for a perpetual calendar watch with a complication mechanism.

The thickness of the watch is surprisingly low, at just 8 mm, despite being equipped with an automatic perpetual calendar.

The rotor, made of 21K gold, is also finely guillochéd, showing Breguet's pride in its attention to detail, even in places that cannot be seen.

The dial has no less than seven displays, but they are very neatly laid out and not cluttered.

The time is shown by the hour and minute hands in the centre of the dial.

Between 1 and 2 o'clock there is a moon phase display with clouds, stars and the moon.

A power reserve display at 10:30 indicates when the automatic watch needs to be wound.

The lower part of the dial features a perpetual calendar showing the month, day, date and leap year.

There are also two buttons on the right side of the case and one on the left.

You can advance the calendar quickly with these buttons.

The guilloche engraving on the dial is basically Clous de Paris, but the moon phase and date are decorated with a wave-like pattern, while the power reserve is decorated with a gradation of fan-shaped patterns.

The movement is a automatic Cal.502DR.

It is an ultra-thin movement based on Frédéric Piguet's Cal. 70/71 and is used in various Breguet models.

Comes with box and paper, Breguet push pin and service paper.
