-DESCRIPTION

This is a solid gold round watch by Omega, produced in 1958.

The case is 18k yellow gold and is a good size 34mm diameter.

The case has a flat bezel and slightly narrow straight lugs, which is a dress watch-like design.

The caseback of the watch is also snap-back and non-water-resistant.

The dial is a silver dial.

The entire dial has a vertical hairline finish, which gives the dial an impressive color that changes depending on the angle.

The design features an applied Ω mark and a cross-shaped sub-seconds.

The hands are a combination of dauphine hands and bar indexes.

The moderate combination of silver and gold makes the watch look classical and sophisticated.

The movement is Cal.491.

It is a self-winding movement with bi-directional winding rotor.

It was made in the transitional period from the half rotor to the full rotor and from sub-seconds to center seconds, and is a rare specification with very few production numbers.

This model has a historically significant caliber that would later become the prototype for the Cal.500 series.
