-Description
The Oyster Perpetual is a direct descendant of the first Oyster released in 1926, which established Rolex's reputation as the world's first waterproof wristwatch.
It is the origin of Rolex watches with two of the three major inventions of Rolex: the Oyster case, which is waterproof and extremely durable, and the Perpetual mechanism, an automatic winding mechanism with a rotor that rotates in both directions.
This reference 6564 is an Oyster Perpetual without a date display manufactured in 1955. Comes with a very rare original guarantee paper and chronometer certificate.
The case diameter is 34mm, so it can be used comfortably by both men and women.
The dial is an ivory dial which has great patina. The combination of bullet-shaped indexes and dauphin hands gives it a vintage feel.
The installed movement is automatic Cal.1030. It was the first Rolex to feature a bidirectional winding rotor. The rotor part is called a butterfly rotor because it looks like a butterfly.
The bracelet comes with a riveted bracelet. The bracelet is very light and the buckle has a design with a protruding crown.
The chronometer certificate is dated 1955 and matches the movement serial. The serial number on the warranty card is blank, but the year 1956 is written on it.
The dial is unique in its variation, and the watch is both practical and collectable, with not only a guarantee but also a chronometer certificate.
