-Description

Vacheron Constantin is a watch brand founded in 1755 in Geneva, Switzerland.

It is considered to be the oldest watch brand in the world that has continued uninterrupted since its inception.

This watch, Ref 39027, is a manual-wind dress watch from the 1970s.

It has a round case made of 18K yellow gold with 32mm diameter.

The main feature is the step bezel and the crown, which is designed to be retracted.

Usually the crown protrudes from the case, but this watch has a large cut-out in the case, which is designed to hide the crown.

This kind of design is common in professional watches such as diver's watches, but it is very rare in dress watches.

The dial is a matt ivory dial.

The dial has large Roman numeral hour-markers, blued steel leaf hands.

The movement is Cal.1015.

It is based on Jaeger-LeCoultre's Cal.895, developed in 1976, which was adjusted and performance improved in-house.

It was also supplied to Audemars Piguet as Cal.2090 and used in their thin dress watches as well as Vacheron.
