-Description

Vacheron Constantin is a watch brand founded in Geneva, Switzerland in 1755. It is considered to be the oldest watch brand in the world that has continued uninterrupted since its inception. Along with Patek Philippe and Audemars Piguet, it is said to be one of the three most luxurious watch brands in the world.

This watch, reference 6335, is a dress watch with a very distinctive case design. It is a vintage model made in the 1960s in 18K yellow gold.

Nicknamed "Disco Volante," which means "flying saucer" or "UFO" in Italian, this watch's unique case design is its most notable feature. The case has a rounded, distinctive shape and is exceptionally thin.

The bezel area, which feels like a disk, has a very fine bark finish. This is a very rare finish, as it was difficult to find the same on reference 6335, including those that have been sold so far.

The dial is a champagne dial with a sunburst finish. It is an extremely simple combination of thin bar indexes and baton hands. There is some deterioration on the edge of the dial, but it is generally in good condition.

The bracelet is an integrated gold bracelet known as Trid'Or, made from three different types of gold: yellow gold, white gold, and pink gold. The name Trid'Or comes from the French words "tri" (three) and "or" (gold).

The bracelet features intricate detailing similar to a fine bark finish but with finer, diagonal incisions. This technique, known as Granito, is used in Florentine jewelry making. In the watch world, this is referred to as the Florentine Finish and is rarely seen in Rolex watches. It is even rarer in other brands, making it a significant attraction of this watch.

The movement is the hand-wound Cal. 1003/1, a classic design from 1955, measuring only 21mm in diameter and 1.64mm in thickness, making it an ultra-thin movement.

The length of the bracelet is adjustable between 17.5 cm and 17.8 cm around the wrist. If you want to make it shorter, a separate cutting service (available for a fee) is required. Please contact us for more details.
